Urgent call-outs · Calpe

Emergency locksmith in Calpe, 24 hours a day

Door shut behind you, keys gone, a key snapped in the cylinder, a lock that has seized with you on the wrong side of it. Call at any hour and you speak to the locksmith, not a switchboard.

Availability

Open now, tonight and at the weekend

Night, Sunday and public holiday calls reach a locksmith directly. You hear what is already in hand and a realistic time for us to reach you before you agree to anything.

We never promise a number of minutes. Calpe stretches from the port to villas two hundred metres up the hillside, and the honest answer depends on where the van is when you ring. Beyond Calpe, the rest of the Marina Alta is covered at night too.

A locksmith crouched at a dark front door, working on the lock with a tool and a torch.

What counts as an emergency

If you cannot get in, cannot get out, or cannot lock up, it is urgent. Anything else can be booked for a time that suits you, at the normal rate.

Locked out

  • Door pulled shut with the keys on the table
  • Keys lost between the beach, the bar and the car
  • Street door of the building fine, flat door not
  • Key turns but the latch no longer moves
  • A guest in your holiday let stuck outside

Locked in, or unable to lock up

  • Key snapped off inside the cylinder
  • Lock seized and will not turn from inside
  • Door will not lock as you are about to leave
  • Handle came off with the mechanism
  • Door forced and the property left open

A forced door needs more than opening: see repairs after a break-in. If the lock has reached the end of its life, a new cylinder is the sensible next step once you are inside.

From your call to an open door

  1. Tell us where

Building or urbanisation, which door, what the key did. A location pin on WhatsApp beats any street name.

  2. Agree the price

The figure and a realistic time, before anyone sets off. If the timing changes, you get a message.

  3. Door opened

With the least force the lock allows. How that choice is made.

  4. Made secure

The lock stays if it survived. If not, a new one goes in before we leave. Itemised invoice either way.

Until we get there

Wait somewhere lit and safe, not on a dark stairwell. In a tower block, the concierge or a neighbour may be able to let you into the building, which saves time at the flat door.

  • Do not climb between terraces or force a shutter
  • Do not push a snapped key further in
  • Do not keep turning a key that has stopped
  • Do not let a passer-by try a card or a wire

Locked out of a tower flat: what to do first

What an emergency call is not

We do not cut or copy keys at any hour, so needing a spare is not a call-out. Vehicles are opening only: if the keys are inside the car, see car lockouts.

And we never open a door for someone who cannot show a link to the property. Identification, and for rentals confirmation from the owner or manager, is asked for every time.

Questions from people standing outside

Will someone answer if I ring at four in the morning?

Yes. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What changes at night is how far away the nearest free technician is, and you are told that on the call instead of being left to guess.

Does a call at night or on a Sunday cost more?

Yes, nights, weekends and public holidays are charged above a weekday visit. You hear the exact figure before anyone leaves, and you can say no at that point without paying anything.

I lost my keys on the beach. Do I need a new lock?

Only if something with them points to your door: a fob with the building name, a parking remote, a car key with the address in the glovebox. Keys that went into the sand on their own are rarely a risk. We open the door and tell you honestly whether the cylinder needs changing.

Half the key is stuck in the lock. What should I do?

Nothing, until we arrive. The broken blade can usually be drawn out and the cylinder saved, but not once it has been pushed in further or attacked with pliers, glue or a magnet.

The lock has jammed and I am inside the flat. Is that urgent?

Yes. Being unable to get out is a safety problem, especially high up in a tower block, and a door that will not lock cannot be left overnight either. Both are treated as emergencies.

Can you get through during the Moros y Cristianos fiestas?

Yes, but the centre fills with parades and some streets close, so tell us the nearest open street or square. In 2026 the fiestas run from 21 to 25 October.

Stuck outside in Calpe?

Ring now and say which building you are at and what happened to the key. Price first, then we set off.
