Out of season it is more often a villa owner back from months away, from Maryvilla to Cometa-Carrió, whose keypad batteries died while the house was shut.

The keypad is dead. Is the safe broken?
Usually it is just the batteries. Many safes have an external battery contact or a hidden emergency key lock for exactly this. If neither is there, or the key is lost, we open it.
The guest locked the room safe and left. Can you open it without destroying it?
Most hotel-style and apartment safes have an override that can be used without damage. Older or better safes may need drilling at a precise point, which we then repair so the safe can be used again.
Do I need to prove the safe is mine?
Yes, always. For a home safe, proof you live there; for a rental, the owner or manager’s confirmation; for a business, someone authorised to act for it.
How much does opening a safe cost?
